Project Plan 1.0

Ok, so as briefly mentioned the plan is to use 1.5 hours a day for betterment, ideally this will be financial because as stated my retirement seems to be getting further and further away and not nearer! Although a bit sad for someone who’s never really thought about retirement and probably not yet relevant to many readers it is a significant milestone I am approaching myself. For others you can think about Project 1.5 as a betterment program even if in your twenties, thirties or forties, look at getting a better more fulfilling life, more financial stability, more creative outlets which are good for mental health and wellbeing, and some physical improvement which has yet to be added to the plan

So the plan will include financial gains which will be a mix of physical products, craft products and online sources, these will now include crypto and DeFi which I have started dabbling with lately and is my current obsession

So I’ve always done pictures of my local area and sometimes sold those as well, mainly as a self-funding hobby, so well below a £1k per year. There is a theory (not financial advice) but a theory that although you should pay tax on every penny earnt if you have a ‘self funding hobby’ that generates below £1k per year and you put the profits back into that hobby, so artists materials, new camera etc then that is acceptable, again not to the letter of the law but its generally accepted as such. The pictures I did of my local area sold, but I didn’t push them much so part from Christmas the sales were low and the profits went into frames, printing costs, software/Apps and other materials

I’ve always loved Apple products and now upcycle some of the older products that I have obtained over the years. Apple products have always been quality build and use quality materials and these lend themselves to upcycling plus of course I’d hate to see them languishing in landfill so its a win-win. So I make Power Mac clocks, Mac Mini clocks, daughterboard pen stands, cpu cooler business card holders and other items and although not yet – I intend to sell these on ETSY or NuMonday so that will be another outlet I intend to add

So, there will be many many projects and there already are many many plans of how to constructively use these 1.5 hours per day, probably not every day as life can get I the way, but on average most days will blend themselves to this project and we’ll see what we can achieve
