eCommerce 1.5
So we’re getting there, the MacOS account is created and I’m pretty much there on the setup. The website is bookmarked, as is the control panel, the ETSY store (more of this later), ETSY itself (as a reference) and all other handy bookmarks, the Canva account is logged into ready to create banners etc. I use Canva as its quick and easy, I have several editing Apps and can create banners, icons etc myself but as we have a Canva Pro account, that is my friends and family that we all share in a team for one subscription its worth the cost for the ease of use and speed I can knock up a quick banner and other branding assets, also I know its copyright clean so won’t have to tear down or re-design in the future if I get a copyright notice by accidentally using someones else’s image
I’ve also bookmarked any other sites needed, these main ones are on the ‘favourites’ bar at the top of my Safari window so they’re easily accessible and having this prime position it cements their importance in my head. Other bookmarks will be added but these will be in folders, organised by their use or need, or maybe just for reference. I also have a folder of bookmarks of ‘rivals’ or competition, not necessarily direct competition as such, although some of them will be, but also for reference, I keep an eye on these to not only reference how well they are doing, how many sales they are getting and this then proves to me that there is a market in this niche – I just need to be able to get a share of it, or hopefully create a new market within that niche
This will be a value going forward, I know that setting up a business, even a side hustle like this one, is still going to be a leap into the commercial battlefield, however I’m also a big believer in co-operation. As such I fully intend to reach out to other sellers in this area and see if we can do some form of collaboration. This may involve promoting each others products in a complimentary fashion, or pooling resources and knowledge to create other products that alone we didn’t have the skills, technology or time to do. I’m not sure of this will work but I know that ETSY does have collaboration teams and encourage sellers to meet up and join together to support and encourage each other
